Birthday Cake for Kyle
We celebrated Kyle's birthday last month and it was fabulous. He requested a cinnamon swirl cake from a Betty Crocker mix that his mom used to make when he was little but apparently Betty Crocker no longer makes it. So Pinterest to the rescue! I found this recipe and modified it just to use 1/2 cup less sugar and French Vanilla yogurt instead of sour cream. The result was amazing!
I got the above banners and "You are my sunshine" sign at Walmart! They were less than $1 each, and I was really excited because I thought they were really pretty and not just crazy party decor.
I made the happy birthday bunting by cutting triangles out of a folded piece of brown paper, using the first triangle as a template for the rest. Then I folded them over baker's twine, used a little glue, and wrote the letters! The bunting is held up by lollipop sticks.
My husband Kyle means more to me than I could ever express. God knew Kyle would be exactly what I need, every day, and I thank Him for the gift of having Kyle in my life. Happy Birthday again Kyle!!
